Santa Cruz is a Department of noticeable natural wealth. It has also become recently an important center of advancement and development. WHAT TO SEE
Parque Nacional Noel Kempff Mercado With an area of 706.000 hectares, its shelters a large biological diversity in this different ecosystems.
Its plan life is rich in the variety of vegetation: in the reinforests, there are oaks, cedars and rubber trees. There are also up to 550 species of bird.
This enormous wealth of animal and plant species, its navigable rivers and its high, crystal clear waterfalls provide many oportunities for ecoturism and photographic safaris.
Parque Nacional Amboró The Amboró NAtional Park is located in the sub-Andean area, and is an area of great scenic beauty. There are 540 species of bird and 120 species of mamma. Among these are jaguars, pums , tapirs, deer, monkeys and wild cats.
There are incredible waterfalls of crystal clear waters forming deep natural swimming pools. In the south are the ruins of the Samaipata Fort and the Tunal hieroglyphics.
Pantanal The Pantanal is a flat area with jus a few small hills that enclose a uniquely peculiar ecosystem. Consisting of low humid forest and criss-crossed by a series of rivers ehich are ideal for fishing and navigable for small craft. The Pantanal is considered one of Bolivia’s principal natural habitats.
